Park and Sea on your doorstep!

Information

Locality

This is a private self-contained lockable 4 room apartment within our house. We are situated on a quiet suburban street, with frontage and a gate to the park which contains sports fields, a playground and a dog paddock. It is 300m to the estuary and yacht club with the ocean and beach a bit further on. We have off-street parking down a long drive. You are in rural surroundings but only 15 minutes from the City by car and a bus stop at the end of the street.

Amenities
You have your own separate front door, two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a toilet. There is a separate (smallish) kitchenette/sitting room with kitchen supplies (plates, cutlery, glasses, toaster, microwave, bench-top oven, rice cooker, fry pan and a waffle maker) and the kitchen is suitable for cooking basic meals. The sitting area is small and more size suitable for 2 people than 4 adults, it has a 2 seater lounge seat and 2 upright chairs.

There is a smart TV, free secure Wi-Fi, a fridge, dishwasher and a pantry containing tea and coffee.  You will be provided with some homemade muesli, cornflakes, and a small carton of milk. Fresh baked homemade bread is usually provided if host is at home.

There is a washing machine on the back deck, and also a picnic table and BBQ for your private use if requested.
Neighbourhood

It is walking distance (shortcut) across the park (400m) to children’s playground, some restaurants, a fish and chip shop, the library, a hair salon, the chemist, the doctors and the dentist. There is also a paddling pool, cafes, fine dining and take-aways available in the picturesque seaside suburb of Sumner. The nearest supermarket is in Sumner. There is also a supermarket in Ferrymead.
There are lots of walking tracks on the Port Hills outside the front door, including a short walk to a free climbing cave. Ideal situation for outdoor pursuits including mountain biking.

Guest Access

Park up the drive and back into the space beside the old shed. Feel free to use grass, garden, and picnic table BBQ area at your leisure. The lockbox is at the front door. After booking has been confirmed you will be given the code with further instructions.

Note: Two Miniature Schnauzers live in fenced back yard. They may bark at you but just want to be your friend. Please leave gates shut at all times.
